Biography
Born 1937, British master painter, printmaker, designer and sculptor, Allen Jones is regarded as one of the leading artists of the POP movement. Jones trained at the Hornsey College of Art and the Royal College of Art, and was one of the exponents of the popular Young Contemporaries exhibition.
Jones was made a Royal Academician in 1986 and his works are increasingly represented in public collections such as the Tate Gallery, the National Portrait Gallery and the Victoria & Albert Museum in Britain as well as abroad. |
