Padraig Macmiadhachain RWA
Biography

1929 - , Ireland. Padraig Macmiadhachain studied at Belfast College of Art from 1947-1949, then the National College of Art, Dublin in 1950. He was awarded travelling scholarships to both Moscow 1957 and Poland 1960, the former by the British Council and latter by the Russian Goverment. An outstanding contributor to the Irish Exhibitions of Living Art in the 1960s, Macmiadhachain has lived and painted since 1959 on the Dorset coast, St Ives, where he is an associated member of The Penwith Society of Arts, St Ives. A wide one man and mixed exhibitor, which includes over 15 one-man exhibitions in London and in Madrid, Dublin, Belfast, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Krakow, Los Angeles, Seattle and Vancouver. His works in many Private and Public collections.
