Damien Hirst
Biography

Born in Bristol in 1965 and grew up in Leeds with his mother and stepfather. He took a foundation course in Leeds, moved to London where he took a BA Fine Art course at Goldsmiths College, graduating in 1989. While still a student Damien organised the Freeze exhibition held in a docklands warehouse, which launched the Young British Artists movement.
